My wife and daughter has let West service their vehicles for years and they seemed to be happy. However, over the past few years I’ve found that our particular service techs don’t seem to verify that the work performed had fixed the problem, resulting in more rescheduling rides to drop a vehicle off again, and additional cost because we’re told the parts they changed out were worn also. Our most recent experience was that my wife dropped off the vehicle for an oil change. The oil change was performed and our tech stated the oil drain bolt was stripped and would cost and additional $1,300.00 to get fixed. I made the service desk aware that West was the only Center that has serviced the vehicle including all routine oil changes. It was stated, to be normal wear and tear. I asked for someone to call me about the issue. I still haven’t received a phone call. Never in my life have I heard of normal wear and tear for an oil drain bolt to strip out. I have heard of them being over tightened causing stripping. If that’s the case, West has done all the oil changes, I understand no one is perfect and mistakes happen, but multiple times we the customer has paid for mishaps. I’m not one that likes to complain, I’m just responding as to my recent history with West.
